How pricing works

Swan’s pricing is credit-based: you pay for the GTM work Swan actually does, not for software access. Each plan bundles a monthly credit allowance (see credits for what actions cost), a number of included seats, and a tier of third-party integrations (basic integrations are available on every plan; more advanced ones are gated to higher tiers). On the Growth plan, part of the price is a platform fee and the rest buys the included credits; on Solo and Starter there’s no platform fee — the price is the credits. Scale is built around your volume — pricing, credits, and seats are set with the Swan team.

Seats

A seat is needed for anyone who actually works with Swan — chatting with it or reviewing and approving its work. In role terms, that’s Admins and Members. Receiving alerts and viewing dashboards are free: Viewers don’t consume a seat (see roles and permissions). Additional seats cost $20/month on every plan, purchasable up to your plan’s maximum (2 on Solo, 5 on Starter, 10 on Growth).

Annual billing

Paying annually takes 20% off the platform fee and the credit tiers. Annual plans also lift the credit-rollover cap: unused credits carry forward without limit within your 12-month term (see credits).

Signing up and starting a trial

When you create an org, it starts on the free plan with a 14-day trial and a starter allotment of 500 credits so you can try Swan immediately, before you’ve picked a paid plan or entered payment details. Upgrading to a paid plan is self-serve: you check out directly through Stripe from Settings → Subscription inside Swan. If the plan you pick includes a trial period, that period and its credit allotment are defined on the plan itself.

When a trial ends without upgrading

If your trial period elapses and you haven’t moved to a paid plan, your org is moved to the free plan: 0 monthly credits and 1 seat. Any extra seated users beyond that 1 are automatically converted to Viewer (see members, seats, and sign-up). Your data isn’t deleted — you keep read access and can upgrade at any time to restore full functionality.

Managing your subscription

Invoices, receipts, and your payment method are all managed through the Stripe billing portal, reachable from Settings → Subscription via the “Manage billing” button. That’s also where you adjust or add seats for plans that support it.

Buying extra credits

If you need more credits before your plan renews, you can buy a one-time top-up from the “Top up credits” button on Settings → Subscription. Top-up credits are priced per plan, above the in-plan rate: 0.37percreditonSolo,0.37 per credit on Solo, 0.30 on Starter, and $0.24 on Growth. Topping up requires an active subscription — top-ups aren’t available on the free plan. See credits for how the credit pool works day to day.

Cancellation

Cancelling is self-serve: open Settings → Subscription in the dashboard and cancel your plan from there. The same page holds your full billing history, invoices, and receipts. Your data isn’t deleted when you cancel — your org moves to the free plan and you can come back any time.

Common questions

Can I try Swan without entering a credit card? Yes — every new org starts with a free trial automatically, no payment method required. Is checkout self-serve? Yes, upgrading to a paid plan is done directly through Stripe checkout inside Swan. Can I pause my subscription instead of cancelling? No — there’s no pause option. But cancelling is self-serve and non-destructive: your data is kept, and you can re-subscribe whenever you want and pick up where you left off. Where do I download an invoice? Through the Stripe billing portal, under Settings → Subscription. What happens to my data if my trial ends? Nothing is deleted. Your org drops to the free plan (0 credits, 1 seat) and any extra users become Viewers until you upgrade. Can I change plans later? Yes, plan changes are handled through the same Stripe-backed subscription flow.
